Who owns the website?
You do. We always register new domain names in the client's name.
Although Register Domain Live is charged with developing and
maintaining your website, you will always have control of it.
How long before my website is live on the internet?

consultation, we will take it from there. We will start work
immediately on your website, publishing it to a
test server where you can view live the
design process. We will grab the necessary content from your current
website (for redesigns) and you can provide additional content as
required.
What about updates and changes to my website?
When you sign up with Register Domain Live, we will be maintaining
your website's content. Your Maintenance &
Hosting Package provides unlimited updates and changes to your
site, and takes care of hosting and other website needs. In other
words, we become your personal webmaster for any of you website
needs.
How quickly are our updates made?
Within one business day. Often, we make your edits on the same day
we receive them.
What's the process for getting our updates to you?
Simple. We offer flexible ways for you to send your content to
us.
- Submit and upload changes through our Support Ticket page.
- Email us your required changes.
If you have images, simply attach them to your email. If it is an
emergency change, don't panic. Just give us
a call (business hours, of course). If you have a minor update,
you may call us and we will make the edit while speaking with you on
the phone.
What type of support do you offer?
Unlike most other web designers who provide basic and often
times "skittish" email support, we provide full-service support,
including speaking with you on the telephone! No more having to wait
days for a response. With us, simply submit changes using our
Support Ticket,

We already have a website, but want it redesigned.
No problem. We will build your new site while your old site remains
live. We can even grab content (images, text, etc.) from your
current site.
Will our logo appear on our new website, or will it just have a
text title?
Yes we will place your logo on your new site.
Can we follow progress on the new site as it is being built?
Yes, Your new site will be built on a
test server where you can view it live while work is being done.
You simply send us your new content as we build your website.
Typically, we work together one page at a time.
Can we collect payments on our website?
Yes. You may want to take payments for your products and
services. We can integrate a PayPal or Google payment solution.
Perhaps you want to sell items on your website. Please ask us
about an e-commerce solution.
How do we publish our Newsletters?
We will integrate a Content Management System (CMS) into your
website that allows you to add news, newsletters, event articles,
etc. Certain members (you choose) will have log-in access to the
CMS. The CMS is simple yet powerful. For example, to add an article,
you simple log in, click the "Article" button, enter your event or
newsletter title, and then cut and paste the article. After clicking
"Publish", your news is instantly live on your website. Images can
be added to any article you publish.
Can we sell advertising on our website?
Absolutely. In fact, that's an excellent way to offset the cost
of your new website.
What about a Message Board?
We can install a powerful forum/message board at no additional
cost.
Do you provide webstats?
Yes, if your site is hosted with us. We have a nice webstats
integration that shows you how many people are viewing your site on
a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Charts
provide you detailed views of the stats.
How about Google Analytics?
Yes. This helps you learn more about who comes to your site,
where they come from, and how they interact with your site.
Do you Search Engine Optimize our website?
Certainly do. Our 15-page plans (or
higher) includes free search engine optimization.
We perform an in-depth research of your site's keywords and
integrate them into your META files, text links, images, etc. We
also research the keywords that are being searched and integrate
them into your text, and provide keyword text links. Images get ALT
tags. A Google sitemap is developed. And a number of other SEO tasks
are performed. There are a number of things that must be done when
optimizing your site and we will discuss them with you. Some, such
as building back links to your site can be performed by you. For
example, you ask a local business or colleague to link to your
website.
Can we connect our Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and other social
networking pages to our new website?
Yes. We will make it happen. This is called "social networking"
and is a very important part of search engine optimization.
Can our new website have videos?
Absolutely. We simply embed any video you have at any place on
your website.
What about our Calendar?
You can publish your calendar on the CMS, or we can publish it
each month for you. If you really want the flexibility a calendar
requires, we recommend you get a free Google Calendar. We can simply
embed that calendar onto your website. You make the calendar updates
in your Google Calendar account, and the changes appear instantly on
your website.
Do we get a blog?
Sure do. Our CMS is actually a Wordpress blogging platform. We
highly recommend you take advantage of this blog solution! A blog
does many things, and it's especially helpful with posting prayer
requests. Multiple users can update your blog. There are so many
features of the blog that we would recommend you visit Wordpress to
learn more about them.
Domain Names & Hosting
What is a domain name?
A domain name is where people find you on the internet. Your
domain name should reflect the name of your business. For example,
if the name of your business is First Baptist Church of Asheville,
then a good domain name would be www.fbcasheville.com.
Can we use our current domain name?
Yes.
If we don't have a domain name, can you secure one for us, or
help us get a new domain?
Yes. And we will give you one for free.
What about hosting?
We provide hosting on our secure GoDaddy.com servers, at no
additional cost.
What if we already have a hosting account?
In cases where you already have a hosting account (i.e. for an
existing website), we can use that hosting account. If you prefer to
let us handle all your website needs, including hosting, our
Maintenance & Hosting Package will
take care of everything. From setting up the current hosting
to point to the DNS, Hosting Side Ad-On and Widgets to
Advanced S.E.O. For example, we can set
up client-managed blogs, photo galleries, message boards, etc.
What does the monthly fee cover?
Everything. We take care of hosting, maintenance, unlimited
updates, search engine optimization (SEO), etc. We do everything
Hosting & Server Side. In short, we become your personal
webmaster for all your website needs.
Did you say unlimited updates?
Absolutely! Your small monthly fee includes full service
attention from us. This includes unlimited updates to your website.

What are my payment options?

Do you provide email accounts?
Yes. We offer Webmail, which can be viewed from any
internet-connected computer in the world. Webmail can also be

What will my email addresses look like?
Your new email addresses will reflect your domain name. For
example, admin@mybusiness.com, or treasurer@mybusiness.com.
